Payout products, not pay rates
DoorDash replaced DasherDirect with DoorDash Crimson after April 1, 2025. Fast Pay still costs $1.99 and cannot stack with Crimson. Other apps have their own weekly deposit and instant-cashout products. Compare products in each official app — do not treat a payout fee as an hourly wage.
Frequently asked questions
Which delivery app is easiest to join?
Food apps with a car often open faster than Amazon Flex or Spark in waitlisted cities. Ease still depends on your ZIP, age, vehicle, and background check. Use the homepage qualifier, then confirm on each official signup page.
Which apps work without a car?
DoorDash offers bike and walk in select cities. Uber Eats supports bike and foot in some markets. Grubhub may allow bicycle or scooter depending on the city. Amazon Flex, Spark, and full-service Instacart require a car.
Do any of these apps pay a single national hourly wage?
No. Gross pay varies by market, time of day, promotions, tips, and engaged time. California Prop 22 creates a local engaged-time floor; it is not a national rate. We do not invent a headline national wage.
